Sean Wydner

Sean Wydner is an experienced attorney and trial lawyer with over 10 years of litigation practice. He provides skilled strategic and personalized representation to the Firm’s clients and is dedicated to delivering quality customer service.

Sean focuses his practice on a variety of litigation areas, including eminent domain and condemnation, contract disputes, real estate, construction, landlord/tenant, and labor and employment. He also assists individuals and businesses throughout Florida with zoning and land use issues, consumer and commercial collections, and drawing up or interpreting business contracts.

Prior to joining International Law Partners, Sean served for six years at the State Attorney’s Office in Broward County as an Assistant State Attorney. There he prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases including DUI, theft, fraud, aggravated battery, robbery, burglary, insurance fraud, money laundering, and attempted murder. Sean argued hundreds of various motions in front of several different judges and took over 20 cases (ranging from DUI to armed robberies) to a jury verdict.

After the State Attorney’s Office, Sean served over seven years as a senior attorney at the Florida Department of Transportation. There he served as lead trial counsel in over 50 eminent domain actions, including several multi-million-dollar lawsuits. He worked closely with Department officials and experts to advise the Department in property acquisition, access management, permitting, zoning, and project design issues.

Sean has worked with experts in many disciplines, including appraisal, engineering, land planning, and construction, and he has extensive knowledge about the critical roles of those areas of expertise in condemnation actions. He has also collaborated with other government officials on the local, state, and national levels for planning and proper execution of governmental projects. Such agencies include several city and county zoning and permitting boards, South Florida Water Management District, Florida Department of Health, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

When not practicing law, Sean enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, drumming, and trips to Disney World. He lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wife and daughter where they regularly enjoy the many public events in and around the city, going to the beach, biking downtown, and boating in the many waterways of the Venice of America..
